It’s very tough to pick a favorite highlighter, but Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo usually ranks in my top five choices. It is a fan favorite. Ever since it was released, I’ve had it on repeat (you can tell there are serious dents in the products in the photos). When I learned that the range was being increased to include two additional color combinations—Flicker & Incandescent—I was ecstatic with delight. Flicker could have been too dark for my skin tone, but Incandescent looked and felt perfect for me.
What’s So Special About Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo – Incandescent?
Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo—Incandescent ($85 for 0.42 oz) is a highlighter and illuminator powder duo that has the consistency of “baked gelee.” You can use these powders alone or in layers to get a unique glow with many different looks. The two most beautiful types of natural light on the face were captured in the creation of this highlighting and illuminating powder duo by Tom ford: a soft white shade mimics the brilliant glow of daylight, and a radiant golden shade mimics the romantic fantasy of candlelight. These softly shimmering colors can be used singly or in layers to provide a multidimensional radiance.
I fell completely in love with Incandescent for the same reasons that I did with Moodlight. I’ve grown accustomed to my favorite Tom Ford’s glossy shine and lovely, wet-like appearance. The top lighting shade has a very shiny, reflective, and wet appearance. It was dazzling. I was first a little concerned that it would highlight my texture more than an average highlight, but it did not. It went on smoothly and only left behind an amazing shine.
For my collection, the bottom “blush” color is special. The Limited Edition Tom Ford Sculpting Duo in Softcore, however, is another Tom Ford Duo that it does faintly remind me of. While the two palettes’ general color scheme is the same, their formulations are completely different. The distinctiveness of the blush hues is another similarity. Although both colors are similar in the pan, their cool undertones keep them from appearing overly orange on the skin. Both of them apply really well. In contrast to Incandescent, which I believe is universal and can be worn in any season or region, softcore has been a favorite of mine, especially during the cooler months.
Characteristics of the Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo

This Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder is absolutely stunning. It has an extremely rich & buttery texture that is feels so smooth the touch, and even the smallest stroke instantly highlights the complexity.
Amazing Pigment and Blinding Brilliance
Picking up product with a gentler brush can be difficult if you are not familiar with the “baked gelee” formula. Nonetheless, even with the softest of brushes, there is no problem because of how pigmented this product is. I think that the ability to change the amount of pigment is a big plus. A small amount of this product will go a long way.
Finally, this is a must-have for any Tom Ford fan (or beauty junkie). Amazing pigment and a blinding brilliance. Have you read Flicker and Incandescent or made any purchases from them?
How did you feel? Did they match the color of your skin?
