I’m so hooked on Natasha Denona, especially her famous eyeshadow palettes, that I can’t even begin to explain it. I feel giddy with excitement whenever something new is out, which in this case is the Natasha Denona Metropolis Eyeshadow Palette LE, which was wonderful for my lusty heart but terrible for my wallet, which is always crying. As soon as I saw Natasha’s newest palette, I knew I had found my other half. A few of my heartbeats were skipped out of reflex.
The Metropolis Eyeshadow Palette LE is a brand new, limited edition palette that retails for $129 for 1.35 ounces and has an array of 28 midi eyeshadows, each of which has 0.048 ounces of product. These eyeshadows range from shimmers to creamy mattes. This item, which comes in a box with a dark green or emerald hue, is the stuff that makes the fantasies of makeup collectors come true. In a fashion analogous to that of her most recent releases, Natasha has introduced shadows and pans of a more compact size that retail for a reduced price.
I was thrilled when this was added to the Sunrise Palette, and I’m thrilled to see that it will be included in future releases as well. The Metropolis palette has some colors that are “midi” sized, which means that the palette itself is the same physical size as the full-sized palettes that contain 15 pans. Compared to the original 28-pan palettes, which sell for $239 each and have full-sized pans, this is a big discount.
Natasha Denona Metropolis Eyeshadow Palette LE Surpassed My Expectations
Since I probably won’t use up any of my palettes (because I have so many), the price is the most important thing to me when I’m thinking about buying a new one. Because of this price reduction, more and more people will be able to purchase this brand and palette. Even though it’s still an expensive purchase for a palette, it’s a better deal in terms of total cost and product weight.
Even though Natasha usually gives me high-quality things, the quality of Metropolis really surprised me and surpassed my expectations. In terms of the overall quality, I consider this to be the best palette that the brand has published to this point to date. There was not a single failure on the palette.
Every single shade did wonderfully well with hardly any extra effort required. The eyeshadows have a high concentration of pigment, are simple to apply and blend, and have an exceptionally extended wear time. In addition to that, when applying the sparkly colors, I noticed that there was very little fallout (which is no easy task to accomplish with shimmering shades; usually there is fallout galore).
Extremely Smooth Finish When Applied
The fact that most of the matte shades in the palette have a cream-to-powder texture has both pros and cons. The positive aspect is that the shadows have a slight creaminess, which results in an extremely smooth finish when applied to the skin. On the other hand, blending these cream powders might be a time-consuming process (unlike true powders).
This recipe is one of my absolute favorites, and the fact that it requires a few more seconds of my time to mix everything together is not something that bothers me in the least. They were quite simple to deal with and produced beautiful outcomes, in my opinion.
Within the same palette, there are a few cases in which several colors appear to be nearly identical to one another, giving the impression that they are the same shade. To provide one example, the shades Fuse, Rust, Blaze, and Penny all gave off the impression of being quite comparable to one another, with the primary distinction being one of tone. A statement of a similar nature can be made regarding Chrism and Stain Hues (when swatched). When I tried each of them out and placed them on my eyelids, I saw a significant difference between the two.
My one and only complaint about this palette is that it may have benefited from the addition of some colors that had possibly various finishes. This would have increased the palette’s overall versatility. On the other hand, the similarities do not bother me as much as they would bother other people because I am happy with all of the hues and the overall color story. I was able to find a purpose for each and every color!
The Only Eyeshadow You Buy
This color scheme, the color story that goes with it, and how it all works together have completely blown me away. In my opinion, this eyeshadow palette by Natasha Denona is far and away the best one she has released to this day. This should be the only eyeshadow palette you buy from this brand if you can only have one.
As a result of the fact that it is part of a limited edition and the fact that I am head over heels in love with it, I am seriously contemplating making an additional purchase so that I will never be forced to go without these stunning hues. Using this palette has allowed me to create a wide range of eye looks that I have been loving, from simple daytime looks (just a little definition of the crease and a little shimmer or sparkle on the lid) to more dramatic nighttime looks that make use of the stunning teals in the palette. Using this palette is an absolute pleasure.
