Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette in 002 Glitz is the product in focus for this review, and it deserves a lot of attention. Highlighters are my true weakness when it comes to the accumulation of various products. I find that I frequently tell myself that I simply will not buy another (after convincing myself that I truly do have everything that is humanly possible), but sure enough, I always end up eating my own words and giving in to the temptation to buy something else.
As soon as I saw one of my favorite makeup artists post a picture of this radiant beauty on her Instagram account, I knew that it was destined to become a part of my never-ending collection and that it would eventually belong to me.
My favorite palette has always been the original one, which is called 001 Universal Neutral and is thought of as a permanent one. It is undeniably a standout product on account of its stunningly silky texture as well as its extremely radiant highlight (interestingly enough, even though the product has been used so much, the stamping remains intact, as seen in the photos below). The white shade of the Strobe Highlighter, which comes included in the Universal Palette, amps up the glow to an entirely new level. Since I bought it a year ago, it has been a staple in my collection, and I use it frequently.
The newly launched Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette in 002 Glitz is sold exclusively at Sephora for $45 and is only available from that retailer.

Glitter Strobe Gold: shining gold
Glitter Strobe Pink Glow: radiant pink-gold
Peach
Bronze
Peach was the color that first drew my attention to Glitz, and it still remains my favorite (which I found to be unique to my own personal collection). Peach and Bronze are unlike any other shades because they can be applied in a variety of ways, including as a traditional highlighter, blush, blush topper, and even as bronzer. This versatility makes them truly one-of-a-kind.
Each of The Tones Combines Exceptionally Well
The peach color casts the most stunning peach glow, which is something I had no idea I needed but can’t seem to get enough of now that I have it. An additional benefit is that you are free to choose between a finish that is either supernatural or extremely intense at any time. Each of the four tones combines exceptionally well with the others (and, of course, they are fantastic on their own as well).
This particular collection of Backstage makeup was created with the intention of creating a makeup line that included essentials recommended by professional make-up artists and was motivated by the chaos that occurs backstage at fashion shows.
This product’s packaging was very simple, which at first made me feel a little disappointed and frustrated. Traditionally, Dior creates packaging that is extremely lavish, intricate, and overall of very high quality. On the other hand, the packaging for the backstage line takes a much more straightforward approach, and the quality of the product is allowed to do the talking instead.
Even if it weren’t packaged in such a “fancy” way, I would still buy this product because it has a special place in my heart. However, the packaging is what sways me the most. I like that this palette is compact and easy to transport, as well as the fact that it is a product that requires very little effort to use. Because of the consistency of the product, it can be applied with virtually any kind of brush. I’ve tried it with brushes made of synthetic hair as well as those made of natural hair, and each and every time, I get stunning results from using it.
