In this blog post I will enthusiastically review Lisa Eldridge Plush True Velvet Collection. Due to the fact that Lisa’s line is self-funded (which is incredible and highly admirable in and of itself), the production process is lengthy, and there is a cap on the total number of items that can be manufactured in a single run.
I wasn’t going to let myself make the same mistake twice because I had a feeling that these would go fast and end up being sold out. And sure enough, it turned out that my forecast was spot on! An astounding testament to the incredible, well-deserved support that Lisa and her line are receiving from the customers is the fact that the entire run sold out so quickly.

When I heard that the item would be back in stock or made available for pre-order, I placed an order right away. After patiently waiting on my computer for the products to become available for pre-order, I could finally call these babies mine (including the highly sought-after velvet pouch, which came with the set I bought)!
In addition, I am pleased to share the news that, in contrast to the launch of the Summer Pinks Collection, which I went into considerable detail about in my earlier review, this launch went off without a hitch and like a well-oiled machine! Lisa and her whole team deserve credit for being able to figure out all of the logistical problems that happened during the last launch and make the next one much easier for customers. I was able to place my order, and it was taken care of and sent to me quickly and well. The beauty addict had attained a state of contentment. Now, let’s talk about the actual gorgeousness of it all.
Velvet Ribbon, Velvet Jazz, and Velvet Morning are the three colors that are included in the most recent edition of the Lisa Eldridge Plush True Velvet Collection. Each individual lipstick sells for $32 and contains 0.12 ounces of product. At the moment, every shade is sold out, but there are plans to restock at some point in the month of October. It is very difficult to speak positively about this incredible method.
It is extremely well planned and organized (not a shocker since Lisa definitely lives up to her perfectionist claims). With just one stroke, you can achieve an intense color payoff with a velvet matte finish that is not only long-lasting but also extremely comfortable to wear.
Even though the finish is matte, these still have a very slight sheen to them, and the reason for this is that Lisa wanted to achieve the slightest possible sheen, which is comparable to the way the surface of velvet looks when the light hits it (she explained this concept in her video here).
The pigmentation of all three was opaque, and they spread out evenly and smoothly across my lips when applied. The texture is smooth and velvety, with a light creaminess that contributes to the airy, comfortable feel of the product (which gives it that plush feeling). Each color stayed put for more than six hours without requiring reapplication (even through eating and drinking). It was simple to apply more, and the finished product did not have a cakey texture.
Now a Bit More About the Colors
Velvet Ribbon: is a vibrant, true red with blue undertones. It reminded me a bit of my beloved MAC Ruby Woo (that has been my favorite red for nearly a decade).
Velvet Jazz: is a stunning deep/brick red with warm undertones and maybe just a touch of brown pigment. Perfect all year round but especially during the colder months.
Velvet Morning: is a rich, medium-dark orange red shade with very warm undertones. Not my typical shade (since I don’t think oranges are super flattering on my complexion), however, it surprised me and I am truly enjoying wearing it.
Lisa, who is a true perfectionist, is responsible for everything, from the stunning magnetic packaging to the product itself. Her vision and labor went into creating both. There is no way that photographs could do this place justice. It was difficult to show that the actual bullet had a velvety appearance when we were provided with it.
To fully understand and appreciate something of such stunning beauty, one must first lay eyes on it. I finally managed to test these out by swatching them, but I found it difficult to use them. I couldn’t take my eyes off of them for days because of how stunning they are. It appears to the naked eye as though you are smoothing a piece of velvet over your lips. To put it simply, heaven!
I know what you’re thinking: “Oh, it’s just another red lipstick; the market is definitely flooded with those.” However, I beg to differ with that assessment. By introducing this revolutionary texture and pairing it with remarkable quality, Lisa gave this an innovative and exciting new twist. These are wonderful things to own and put to use. They embody the very definition of the word luxury in every way.
Make sure to sign up for Lisa’s newsletter by clicking HERE if any of these infants are on your wish list. You can do so by following the link. You are going to be added to the notification list for all of the upcoming launches and restocks. It is anticipated that these colors will be restocked in the month of October; therefore, it is imperative that you mark your calendars and set your alarms. Once again, I have no doubt that these will go quickly out of stock. In addition to that, Lisa dropped a hint about the expansion of this Plush Velvet range, and I cannot wait for it! Just take my money this instant!
