This post will be about my 3 favorite facial cleansers for double cleansing skin. The idea of a double cleanse originates with Korean beauty, or K-Beauty. When I initially heard about this procedure, I was genuinely extremely doubtful and even a little terrified. I didn’t get into the notion that using two steps would significantly improve my skin. I was certain that it was a lie, and it might even have been a marketing gimmick to encourage us (consumers) to buy more things in an effort to look youthful and attractive. I’m also here to acknowledge my own shortcomings and mistrust. It was established that I was mistaken entirely.
Double Cleansing With My 3 Favorite Facial Cleansers
Double cleansing is the idea of cleaning your face twice, first with an oil-based cleanser and then with a water-based one. Sebum, sunscreen, and other oil-based impurities are removed in the first step, and water-based impurities like sweat and grime are cleaned in the second. This kind of cleansing makes sure that both types of impurities are eliminated from your skin and gives your face the deepest, most delicate clean imaginable. Also, double washing is the foundation of any effective practice and unquestionably the most crucial step because, without very clean skin, other products won’t work as well and your skin won’t stay clear (something I was all too familiar with).
People have a lot of wrong ideas about double cleansing and the best products for skincare to use for different types of skin. I’ve always thought that because I have the combination of being very oily and combo oily, I shouldn’t use any products that contain oil because they’ll just make me oilier. Indeed, utilizing an oil cleanser is even more essential if you have oily skin. The most efficient technique to remove oil-based pollutants from oily skin is to use an oil cleanser. Oily skin produces more oil-based contaminants than normal skin. I start by applying Good Molecules Quick Cleaning Balm, which is only available through Beautylish.
Shea butter, sea buckthorn oil, and camellia oil are the main ingredients in this mild balm. The balm melts when it comes into contact with the skin, dissolving dirt, pollutants from the environment, and other impurities. My skin feels clean and nourished after using it because it leaves no residue behind. I’m on my fifth bottle of this wonderful balm right now, and I just can’t get enough.
I’m using Boscia’s recently released Clear Complexion Cleanser as step two. To thoroughly wash the face, this gel cleanser foams into a very mild, yet powerful and ultra-refreshing solution. This cleanser contains Willow Bark Extract, a natural beta-hydroxy acid (salicylic acid) obtained from the willow tree, which exfoliates skin to unclog pores, purify them, and improve the way they look; A powerful antioxidant that helps to noticeably firm skin and minimize the look of pores is rosemary leaf extract. Geranium: It promotes blood flow, regulates sebum production, and tightens the look of skin.
Skin Feels Spotless and Redness is Reduced
My skin feels spotless after using this cleanser to wash my face. It reduces my redness without ever making me feel irritated. I’ve noticed a lot fewer breakouts and general skin healing since I started using this cleanser. Several products are either ineffective or too harsh for my extremely sensitive skin. With its extremely noticeable benefits, this cleanser has been an excellent addition to my routine.
The Face Halo is a third item that is a personal favorite of mine. I use this while traveling and working out at the gym. This gives me the freedom to clean my face without having to carry around a bunch of products. A brilliant invention, Face Halo is the first of its kind. It is a reusable makeup remover made of fiber that is also good for the environment. Even with just water added, it works! No rubbing or scraping is necessary.
The makeup is effectively and swiftly removed. Because the remover has two sides, you can clean both your eyes and your entire face with it. Over 200 times can be spent cleaning and reusing it! This remover’s mild surface is really soft and doesn’t irritate my delicate skin.
I think that a big reason why double cleansing has been so effective for me is that it really does remove all signs of makeup (whereas just one step still left some residue behind). My everyday makeup routine includes concealer, foundation, and powder, so double cleaning is essential to get the most clean. The removal of debris and impurities that gather on our skin during the day is also crucial. They damage the skin through oxidation, and they can also cause collagen to break down and cause wrinkles and sunspots to appear.
Since I started double cleansing with my 3 favorite facial cleansers, the reduction of acne has been the biggest change in my skin. And I’m here to watch it! I now firmly believe in the approach and advise everyone to use it.
Choosing your double-cleansing dream team from the many products on cosmetics aisles and store shelves can be hard, especially if you don’t know what ingredients to look for or which cleanser is best for your skin type. Thus, do some studying to find out what is advised for your particular skin type. The Klog is one of my preferred sources for this knowledge.
